New Tswane Logo

On the 27th of March i got a text from Bridget it reads "Goodmoring PLEASE watch Dstv channel 408, Ikwekwezi fm or You tube channel 408 instead at 10am". i was baffled  for  about to few seconds and then i remembered that  she was a finalist in designing the new Tswane logo .

i listened to Ikwekwezi for a few hours but i was held up in a pile work i couldn't listen for long, but in a nut shell they won the competition. I was beside myself with excitement thinking of the perks this would mean for her (ok I'm lying i was envisioning what this means for me lol). She called me later and she was so excited you could hear it in her voice, but it was what she said she going to do with the money that really killed me lol that is so her. They really deserve it i know Bridget is going places and yes she is taking me with her hahahahha.
below is the new logo WELL DONE FRIEND!!!!!!

So Beyonce's baby sister signed a contract with Vouge uk to document what she is wearing everyday for  29 days this happened throughout February .Now Solange is my style icon she gives clothes and fabrics character the clothes she wears tells a story, most times i feel like I'm reading her journal like she is my friend and i know the most intricate details of her life. Above i have attached a few of the outfits she wore , breath taking even the hairstyles are beautiful.

Kem Concert

On the 3March I went to the Kem Owens Concert what a moving experience.  The people looked lovely dressed to the nines; you could feel the love in the air. I was so warmed by how many men came to the concert with their better halves, it made being in love so worth it. The concert was at the Eliis Park Indoor Arena, the place isn’t that big so the concert was very intimate and of course Kem was engaging us throughout the show. I wished it never had to end; I wouldn’t mind living my life in arena with Kem singing for the rest of my life. He is gifted, his vocals at show where as good as on his Cd’s and No he wasn’t miming he had full live band. I could feel my tears drawing closer as he sang “Why would you say” the song is that deep for me. If you know me then you know I let the tears stream down my cheeks.
this was my outfit for the night i love it...!

MUSIC

I often sit up at night listening to your melodic whispers caressing my neck all the way done to my spin
And dreaming of the day we finally meet
The day that you are tangible enough for me to wrap you tightly in my arms and never let you go
The day the taste of your kiss will see through my heart
And silence the nerves
The day that I will be mersmerised by your beauty
The day that you will lift me up in the air only to catch me again
The day we will stroll hand in hand with random kisses on the forehead
The day that forever begins
Do you all the beautiful things people say about you?
They say you have the power to connect two souls
The power to heal and mend the broken
The ability to take people through vivid personified beauty in the mind
I smile when I hear all these things about you
wanting to carry my heart and legs and run to the future
To meet you
So that forever can start
I love you
I mean it
My heart belongs to you
I know you love me too
I will wait for you
However long it takes

LINDIWE MATOLENGWE

This young lady is a 3rd year film student at City Varsity. She has been my friend since grade four and I say this from deepest part of my soul, that when you define beauty you do not leave this girl out. She is an African queen her beauty is rare but stares at you right in the face, you cannot miss her even if you wanted to.
These pictures were taken for a school mate’s photography assignment, I had one look at them and I knew she had to be a part of my blog.I have been nagging her for years to become a model, I don’t know if she hasn’t done so because she doesn’t want me hogging her spotlight (giggles) or because she is shy, but I pray  that God drops someone on  her door step who is eager to showcase her beauty to the world
These are the pictures that really stood out for me her timeless beauty excites my entire being. xoxo

Valentines Day

What does Valentines Day mean to me? With Valentines Day coming up on Tuesday I’m forced to sit back and gather thoughts of what the day really means to me. I have never done this, I have just bowed to norm that everybody who is in love wears red and white and shows the whole world that they have a significant other, well at least that’s how it happened in high school.
Well as clique as it is I celebrate it anyway. I think it’s a day where I celebrate the love I have for my partner together with the rest of the world. A day where I get showed with gifts, love to show appreciation and evoke warm fuzzy feelings through my blood. A day when I get reminded why I fell in love with my partner. So i don’t think I have been accustomed to the norm out of ignorance but rather because I love what the day stands for. Yes I will admit that I have a vague idea of why it came into existence but the is a reason why I haven’t researched on it and that’s because they might be a chance I don’t like this Valentine guy and destroy what the stood for in my heart. If you are in love loose up, tell your partner you love them shower them with love its allowed.

Durban

This past weekend I had a chance to vacation in Durban for the weekend. It was a long drive which I do not regret at all because I was with very entertaining people and the music we were jamming to was nice. When we arrived at the guest house we were welcomed by the sound of the crashing waves and the cool breeze oozing out of the ocean, immediately letting it be known that we are here to relax. I had a lovely weekend the weather was perfect, I would do it all over again.

Christmas In Limpopo

Every year around Christmas time the whole family heads down to Limpopo, my grandparents home  to celebrate Christmas in a rural village called Kome. This has been a tradition that has been alive in the family for as long I could remember, even after the loss of my grandmother the tradition still lives on. This year hasn’t been any different, 15 family members, lots of food, arguments, laughter and mostly being surrounded by loved ones. The air smells fresh and clean the sun isn’t merciful, it burns everything it sets its eyes on, at night you marvel at the stars and the full moon but you are sure to have mosquitoes drawing blood from your flesh. Its home though I still love it. I think we can relate that we always have that one family member who is the centre of attention, the one who is the loudest and talks over everyone, who refuses to listen to reason, the instigator of most of arguments, that family member unfortunately is my mother. Over the years we have become  immune to her behaviour, it doesn’t bother us if anything its amusing. She definitely knows how to make our stay memorable.  This year we decided to have a reunion with a few of  our cousins, it was of to a slow start, at one point we thought it wasn’t going happen mainly because of transport issues. The majority of us can drive but only one person has a license, that person being my younger sister. so the dilemma was that we needed to take 2 cars so that we could drop the one car at my cousins house pour fuel in the other car and drive back.  Our biggest obstacles was metro cops an fuel! because where my cousin stays is not much of a village so there was a 110% chance that one of us would be slapped with traffic fine. Somehow we manged to find the solution , and it was that we weren't going to drop any of the cars lol not that we didn't try. the solution dawned on us when 6km's into our journey the car we were supposed to come back with, yes the very one we needed to pour fuel in decides that it wont go anyway until we fill up its tank . so we had to use the other car to tow the one that broke down home. it was a eventful 2hours i must let you know, but as the night dawned we forgot our problems and as the alcohol filled our system the was much laughter that eased the tension. Christmas was out of the ordinary but in a good way. Same tradition with a few different faces, our grandparents are probably happy where they seeing us so united.
